Temporally speaking, my spirituality indeed started developing in parallel with the so-called grunge era. This already says a lot about my approach to mysticism.
Although impressed by “bare” practices such as Zen as well as the words of Krishnamurti, my natural habitat is outside of traditions and institutions. Books and gurus are useless without the knowledge of self … that is, if there is indeed a self to know!
Currently residing in Montreal with my partner, two black cats and many, many plant beings, I devote as much time as possible to the creation and sharing of writings, podcast conversations and other developing projects.

Through a “work with what you have” mentality, I offer philosophies and methods aiming to democratize the mystical experience.
With its streaks of humour and poetry, Zinfaendel is a singular exploration of the foundational basics of mystical functioning aimed at novices and seasoned adepts alike.

“Gnosis has become a desired spiritual tech for seekers in recent times. It remains as enigmatic as the mystical experience. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if a book took the reader on a spanning yet sober historical journey of connecting with the Divine while simultaneously providing personal tools for self-actualization? Welcome to Vallée’s Zinfaendel. If you’re not careful while reading this book, you might experience deep self-knowledge.”
― Miguel Conner, writer and host of Aeon Byte Gnostic Radio podcast
“Zinfaendel is an exploratory, playful reflection informed by the author’s experience that seeks to suggest or evoke a practical mystical disposition, mood or attitude of questioning in the quest for self-awareness, to open the flow through the interstice between fixity of knowledge and greater potential of our being.”
― James Tunney, writer, painter and speaker
“For those seeking a guide on how to begin the self-discovery spiritual journey, Vallee’s work offers pragmatic, time-tested suggestions to achieve basic self knowledge.”
― Maja D’Aoust, writer, artist and witch
“(…) I cannot recommend this book enough for those drawn to walk the mystical path, yet unsatisfied by conventional belief systems and unafraid to question what we hold as sacred. The author encourages genuine inquiry rather than accepting doctrine at face value. For spiritual seekers wanting to go beyond mental mastery to know themselves at the deepest level, this book provides an accessible starting point. More than mere conceptual play, it invites you on a journey to challenge assumptions and radically reconsider how you view yourself and the world.”
